Asphalt Works for DUNES SAND REMOVAL – AL KHODARI (Aug 2024 – Sep 2024)

For the DUNES SAND REMOVAL – AL KHODARI project, completed between August and September 2024, we applied 11,000.00 M² of PRIME COAT MC-70 and 11,000.00 M² of TACK COAT RC-250. Additionally, we laid 3,105.00 M² of 50 mm thick Sulfur Extended Class B Asphalt Binder Course and 7,872.00 M² of 80 mm thick Sulfur Extended Class B Asphalt Binder Course. For the wearing course, we applied 3,105.00 M² at a thickness of 50 mm and 7,872.00 M² at a thickness of 80 mm, both using Sulfur Extended Class B Asphalt. Achieving optimal compaction, ideally 98% of the Theoretical Maximum Density (TMD), is crucial for the durability of these asphalt layers. All work was executed in accordance with the relevant project specifications and quality control standards.
